Heather's Story
About 5 years ago, in 1998, Heather got herself into some trouble (as most teens do), and her Mother and Stepfather decided to send her to Maine to live with her father. She had been there up until January if this year. On January 4th, 2003, Heather's husband, Roscoe, went nuts. He caught her off guard, and bashed her face in, knocking her unconscious. He then began to stab her multiple times in the stomach and chest. When he was done with her, he went and killed 6 of their 7 cats. When finished, he left and stayed in a hotel until the 7th of January, when he decided to turn himself in by walking into the local courthouse.
I found all of this out in April of this year, when I found myself thinking of Heather, and attempted to contact her. Finding that her phone had been disconnected, I contacted her mother who told me the whole story. As if all of this was not bad enough, Heather was 8 months pregnant at the time. And it appears that the baby was the main focus of the attack. And Roscoe, has the nerve to try to get off with temporary insanity. There are a ton of clues that seem to prove that this was premeditated. If the family has anything to say about it, he won't get off with anything even as light as 2 life sentences. Apparently they are not even going to charge him with the death of the baby, only of Heather.
